Inauguration: 1st Community Center & Diner with Spanish ambassador

Inauguration of Community Center: In February 2025, the foundation inaugurated the LACASA KKO Community Center. The newly opened building will double as a classroom for the Ecole LACASA KKO. The classroom is fully equipped with ceiling fans, and a projector, enabling students and teachers to benefit from a more comfortable learning environment and multimedia tools to enhance their education. Beyond its use as a classroom, the community center will serve as a vital hub for the village.

Water Awareness Session: Following the free health clinic held on December 5th, 2024, organized by the LACASA KKO Foundation for the communities surrounding École LACASA KKO, a post-event analysis revealed a concerning trend: a high prevalence of illnesses linked to unclean drinking water.

In response, on February 20th, 2025, the Foundation held its first Water Awareness Session. This new initiative, led by a doctor from the Bocanda district hospital and two accompanying field agents, aims to educate and empower local populations on safe water consumption and sustainable water management. Starting in 2025, this Water Awareness Session will be held every year as a follow-up to the annual health clinic, ensuring that both medical care and prevention remain central to the Foundation’s impact in rural Côte d’Ivoire.

Foundation hosts diner with Spanish ambassador

On February 27th, the LACASA KKO Foundation hosted an exclusive dinner, bringing together 24 guests, including the Spanish Ambassador to Ivory Coast, the LACASA team (Macarena, Joan, Tomas, Javier, and Antonio), and key partners like Romeu Shipping.

Discussions centered on our latest projects, such as the new community center in Kotokounou, as well as future initiatives aimed at education, health, and infrastructure. Guests expressed strong support for our mission, and the event reaffirmed the crucial role of partnerships in achieving our goals.

With the ambassador and partners sharing their enthusiasm, the evening underscored the collective commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of rural communities.
